White Rain

I looked out the window and what did I see!?!
In May, you have got to be kidding me!
Nope, it's snowing!
So much for all those plants I finally got in the ground yesterday!
I am hoping for the best; that all my digging and protecting-against-Mobi efforts pay off...that my plants survive this late spring snow.

A fun picture - not the best shot, but such a fun memory- Camilla getting tickled by Daddy and laughing the most adorable laugh in the world!

I have been reading a ton, mostly for fun, and ran across this awesome quote- I hope you read it, enjoy it, and ponder it!
"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."
-Calvin Coolidge
30th President of the United States
I'll leave it at that. Ciao

Verde

So you all know,
we will not be moving.
We will be, happily, staying in-state in our cute little home close to family and friends.
That also means that no new job has come our way, but we have not lost faith-
it'll come, hopefully soon.

Yesterday's weather was perfect! We were outside so much I worried that we'd get sunburned!
I am still in disbelief, warmth seems like a dream that we'll wake up from in a few days and be
freezing again.

Thanks for reading, now enjoy this great weather!

Brain wave

While I'm puttering around online I thought I'd post, since its been almost a month.

My thoughts:

Yay for friends finding love and happiness!

I loved conference and heard some things I didnt know I needed to hear until they were said. I am so grateful to be a member of the Lord's church and to be guided by leaders who receive revelation and do the Lord's work.

Camilla is trying to walk, and has surprisingly good balance! She just gets up and goes whenever she feels like it.
So not ready, but are you ever really?

Chad interviewed for a job out of state, and though we havnt heard anything back, it's been interesting to consider relocating and all that goes with that. As long as we're with each other I'm fine going just about anywhere. But thinking about only coming to Utah on vacation kinda makes me sad. Contemplating going to an unknown is a bit uncomfortable, knowing I'd be missing my family and the mountains and perfect area that we live in...

I'm going through a phase, which I do every few of months, in which I feel like I should be doing more with myself and yet I end up puttering away on the computer or reading a thoughtless book. I guess these are my "rutt" times, and maybe I dont get too far out of them but right now I'm in deep it seems. But I know that once I start turning things over to the Lord, He helps me get everything back on track... guess I should do that sooner rather than later.

Well thanks for reading, though you're probably a little bored now. and yes I know my thoughts are a bit scrambled (or "squirreled" if you prefer), thanks for trying to follow my rambling process. well Have a good one, it's sunny!

Una

So I of course intended to post last week but when we cram three celebrations into eight days blogging takes a backseat...

Camilla is 1!!!! We celebrated for what seems like two weeks, mostly because three of her grandparents went out of town on her birth day so she received gifts before they left on their trips (my parents went to New Jersey and her Grandma Snow went to a tennis tournament). Any who, her birthday was great, we had a party with each side of our family on the weekends and then one with friends on her birthday.

I kind of made last minute plans for her birthday so it wasnt the grandest first birthday, but I though it turned out well. I made 'healthy' cupcakes for babies and arranged them like "balloons," then made chocolate cake balls for everyone else. Camilla had her twin friends, our neighbors, come to her party and we had several friends come to wish her Happy First too! We didnt play games or open presents, just had a good time together and laughed while Camilla enjoyed her cupcake/birthday cake! Thanks everyone for making it a great fisrt birthday for her!
Oh the funniest part about watching her eat her cake was that she kept lifting her feet up, like eating was this whole body activity, so cute!

So there you have it, this last year flew by so fast! It really doesnt feel that long ago that we were all in the hospital with her... seeing her first smile, hearing her coo, watching her roll, army crawling, first say mama dada! She amazes me, she's a slice of heaven, she makes me laugh so hard sometimes and stand in awe at others! I love our baby girl and cant wait to see how she'll grow and change this next year of her life!
